Health Updates

The health and safety of our school community continues to be our priority in relation to the evolving situation with the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in New York City. The New York City Department of Education website includes important updates for students and families, including information about how to protect your health.

Please remember that washing hands regularly and practicing social distancing are crucial to preventing the spread of germs. The Department of Health currently recommends that New Yorkers remain at home as much as possible and wear a face covering when outside, even if they feel well and have no symptoms.

Materials and resources regarding COVID-19 and Multi-System Inflammatory Syndrome in Children (MIS-C) have been shared with the WHA community and can be accessed through the links in the text box on this page. Additional information, including videos about the most effective method of hand-washing, are available on the Center for Disease Control (CDC) website.

Please continue to visit the websites for the NYC Department of Education or the NYC Health Department for updates - and do not hesitate to contact us if you have questions or concerns.
