College & Career Readiness

We believe that College and Career Readiness depends on awareness, opportunity, and high expectations for all students and families. Across all grade levels, we develop a college-going culture by building awareness of high school, college and career options; by offering regular opportunities to explore and experience these options; and by reinforcing consistently high expectations for high school, college and beyond.

College and Career Readiness begins in Pre-Kindergarten and is developed across grade levels through interrelated structures and supports, including:

  • Reinforcement of developmentally appropriate College and Career Readiness Skills and positive Academic and Personal Behaviors

  • Student goal setting - personal, social and academic - and regular opportunities to reflect upon progress

  • Middle School Advisory sessions that provide a safe space for students to build meaningful relationships; monitor their progress as learners; develop social, emotional and ethical awareness; and prepare for high school, college and career
