Enrichment Programs

We believe that a well-rounded education should provide not only academic rigor, but opportunities for physical activity, self-expression, artistic creation, and self-reflection. In addition to daily recess, WHA students enjoy regularly scheduled classes in Physical Education, Dance & Movement, Technology, Cultural Enrichment & Visual Art.

Sports at WHA include a Morning Fitness Program, Basketball, Soccer, Track & Field and Volleyball. Other enrichment programs include Dancing Classrooms; LEAP (Learning through an Extended Arts Program), LINC Reading Buddies, and Yeshiva University START Science.

Through the New York City Department of Youth and Community Development’s COMPASS (Comprehensive After School System) and SONYC (School’s Out NYC) programs, Inwood Community Services, Inc. provides out-of-school-time (after school, vacation and holiday) programming for students in elementary and middle school.
