Food Assistance

Below is a list of food resources and assistance available to New Yorkers. Most of these will operate on a "grab and go" system. Call ahead for site-specific information.

Free Meals for All New York City Residents
All New York City residents can get three free meals a day at more than 400 Meal Hubs across the city. On Monday through Friday, Meals Hubs will operate for children and families from 7:30 am to 11:30 am, and for adults from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm. SNAP Benefits
The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program will continue to provide nutrition benefits to families who need help purchasing healthy food. To apply for SNAP benefits online, please visit or call 718-557-1399 to have an application mailed to you.

Food Pantries
Most food pantries will continue to distribute food throughout the city. Visit FoodHelp NYC for a full list of pantries and information about services during the COVID-19 outbreak.
