Food Assistance

Below is a list of food resources and assistance available to New Yorkers. Most of these will operate on a "grab and go" system. Call ahead for site-specific information.

Free Meals for All New York City Residents
All New York City residents can get three free meals a day at more than 400 Meal Hubs across the city. On Monday through Friday, Meals Hubs will operate for children and families from 7:30 am to 11:30 am, and for adults from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm. SNAP Benefits
The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program will continue to provide nutrition benefits to families who need help purchasing healthy food. To apply for SNAP benefits online, please visit nyc.gov/accesshra or call 718-557-1399 to have an application mailed to you.


Food Pantries
Most food pantries will continue to distribute food throughout the city. Visit FoodHelp NYC for a full list of pantries and information about services during the COVID-19 outbreak.
