Children enter PS/IS 366: Washington Heights Academy through the citywide application process established by the New York City Department of Education.

Families applying for Pre-Kindergarten, Kindergarten or Grade 6 must do so through the NYC DOE's centralized process by listing Washington Heights Academy as a choice on their DOE applications.

In accordance with NYC DOE policy, children who are currently enrolled in WHA’s Pre-Kindergarten program receive priority (after siblings) in the Kindergarten admissions process.

Grade 5 students currently attending Washington Heights Academy have priority to continue to Grade 6 at the school. In order to receive this priority, current WHA fifth graders must rank PS/IS 366 as one of their choices on the Middle School Application.
